Pride of New Village

 

New dwelling houses have been built at the Janghae Farm in Pyoksong County thanks to the benevolence of the Party.

With the great transformation of the farm, the ideas and spirits of its masters have also markedly changed.

The most noticeable is the collectivist atmosphere prevailing in the farm fields and villages.

Earlier, Kim Yong Gil of Workteam No. 3 had failed to do his duty due to difficulties in living. He had become the subject of people’s gossips and had finally left the farm.

Then, a few months ago, he came back and a new nice house welcomed him.

He shed tears of excitement, deeply touched by the benevolence of the Party and the state which take care of all the people whether they are sick or troublesome.

Looking at him, other members of the workteam reproached themselves for not having taken good care of him and led him properly before.

The head O Se Chol and the rest of the workteam turned out to help him.

Those of other workteams and sub-workteams, too, helped backward members forward in order to repay the great love of the Party all together.

Consequently, Kim and many other farmers have grown into solid farmers and the farm has reaped a rich harvest this year.

At the moment, they are helping and leading one another forward with a single aspiration to repay the Party’s benevolence with grain production.

 

Sincerity Devoted to a Patient 

 

Some days ago, a patient in a critical condition was carried to the North Phyongan Provincial General Hospital. He was a shock brigade member in the Pothonggang Pleasure Park Management Office who volunteered to work in the recovery work for the flood damage in hearty response to the call of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

All medical workers of the hospital turned out as one with the will to bring him back to life.

A consultative meeting of doctors was held immediately and emergency treatment was taken. From then on, intensive treatment for reviving him was conducted day and night. The medical workers including the medical team of digestive organ internal treatment devoted lavish sincere to improving his condition while taking turns in keeping the patient.

Officials and working people of Pothonggang District in the flood-hit areas also visited him with daily necessities and inquired into the health of the patient. Under the care and sincerity of many people, the patient finally recovered his consciousness.

His hospitalization was only over ten days, but the other patients who were hospitalized with him and the medical workers of the hospital could keenly felt again that such a miracle has been witnessed everywhere on this land, where everyone is devoting himself regarding the others’ pain as his own and sacrificing for others as a part of the ordinary life.

 

Under Support and Assistance of Comrades

 

Kim Jong Nam, a worker of the Tongrim Koryo Medicine Factory, enjoys love and respect as a worker inventor among the comrades.

Not long ago he volunteered to conduct the technical innovation to raise the operation rate of equipment which plays an important role in current production.

He buckled down to the work with firm determination; however, it was easier said than done. When a rotating wing newly installed at a part of the equipment was broken during the test run, he keenly felt his lack of experience and knowledge.

Just then a technician of the factory visited him to help him find out the cause of failure and reassemble the equipment.

After a while officials and employees of the factory also turned out to help him, saying that the assembly of the equipment is just the work for the factory and for themselves.

Thanks to their selfless help he succeeded in the work at last.

Looking at the comrades who highly appreciate his success, Kim Jong Nam expressed his heartfelt thanks to them, saying that he can achieve such success as he has active support and selfless help of the officials and comrades.

That day not only Kim Jong Nam but all the employees of the factory keenly realized once again the precious truth that nothing is impossible when everybody regards the work for the factory as their own and turns out to do it unanimously.
