Measures He Took on Spot
One January day in 2012, the respected General Secretary
That day he looked round a room for studying educational methods fully furnished with equipment necessary for the education and edification of orphans and he expressed satisfaction at it.
After a while, he said to accompanying officials that the room was well arranged and an electronic blackboard and pointer, computers, LCD TVs and other educational equipment were put on a modern basis, praising repeatedly that the visual aid boards were also well made.
Looking up to him who was deeply concerned for providing the children with good educational conditions and environment, the officials felt a lump in their throat.
The General Secretary, looking at them wrapped in deep emotion, noted that one of the most important problems to be solved in the field of education at present was to steadily improve the educational method as required by the times to raise the quality of education, adding that he would like to learn in more detail about the educational system and curriculum of the school in the future.
That day, keeping in mind his instructions, the officials keenly felt once again that there can be no satisfaction in the education for the rising generation and the fact that the satisfactory fruition would be brought when they steadily improve it in a fresh way in keeping with the developing reality.
What He Pictured to Himself in Delight
It happened one September day in 2013 when the respected General Secretary inspected the island defence detachment of the Korean People’s Army situated in the forefront area.
While directing his steps toward the dwelling district enjoying a bird’s-eye view of the island which splendidly changed its appearance with a bright smile on his face, he, all of a sudden, pointing to the buildings in front of him, kindly asked the defence detachment commander what the buildings were.
The commander told him with respect that the buildings were a branch school of senior middle school and a kindergarten.
Hearing his answer, the General Secretary said that the buildings were nice and he suggested entering the ward of the kindergarten and school.
Arriving at the site, he looked around the buildings and surroundings and praised that they were built well to suit children’s minds, which were convenient for the nursing and upbringing of children and the education of students.
The officials were filled with deep emotion and excitement looking up to the General Secretary who was going round the kindergarten and school with a bright smile on his face.
The officials pictured the bright looks of the rising generation, to be pillars of the future under the warm loving care of the motherly Party, enjoying the benefits of the universal 12-year compulsory education system.
