The State Academy of Sciences in the DPRK recently developed a new coal gasification technology.

This technology is a high-tech one completely developed in our own way for the gasification of anthracite and lignite with very high efficiency.

The development of the technology provides a scientific and technological guarantee for producing high-quality syngas with much content of effective gas while reducing the consumption of coal by over 30 percent in the process of coal gasification than the previous gasification method.

The State Academy of Sciences is now pushing ahead with the work to build the test processes for producing synthetic fuel oil and reduced iron using this syngas.
