Members of the Cha Kwang Su Youth Shock Brigade and the Tunneling Platoon of the Pit No. 3 at the Wolbong Coal Mine completed the yearly tunneling plans by 120% and 108% respectively until Nov. 25.

Officials of the youth shock brigade like Pak Myong Chan and Kang Yong Song have set personal examples in doing the difficult and labor-consuming jobs while organizing and commanding the work in an ambitious manner since the outset of the year.

The members of the shock brigade displayed a collectivist spirit of helping each other forward and actively introduced a rational drilling method suited to the conditions of the rocks, and thus carried out the daily tunneling plan by over 1.5 times.

Kim Un Ryong, Ho Chang Il and other members of the Tunneling Platoon augmented the successes in tunneling day after day while increasing the operating ratio of equipment like compressors and rock-drills.

Wives of the tunneling workers also made great contributions to the fulfillment of the yearly tunneling plan by conducting supply service and other various advantageous undertakings in a proper way.
