The visiting Russian military delegation led by Minister of Defence Andrei Beloussov laid a wreath before the Liberation Tower on Nov. 30.
Present there were Kim Kang Il, vice-minister of National Defence of the DPRK, Kim Jong Gyu, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, and Alexandr Matsegora, Russian ambassador to the DPRK, and staff members of his embassy.
The guard of honor of the Korean People’s Army lined up at the tower.
The national anthems of the Russian Federation and the DPRK were played.
A wreath in the name of the Russian defence minister was placed at the Liberation Tower amid the playing of the wreath-laying music.
The participants paid silent tribute to the memory of the fallen fighters of the Soviet Army before looking round the tower.
