Trade union officials and members from across the DPRK held a meeting of starting the study tour of the revolutionary battle sites in Mt Paektu area before the Monument to the Victorious Battle of Pochonbo on Dec. 4.

The participants laid a floral basket and bouquets before the statue of President Kim Il Sung at the monument.

Choe Jong Chol, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea, made an address at the meeting to be followed by speeches.

Speakers said that the historic horseback march to the battle sites in Mt Paektu, conducted by the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un in 2019, marked a turning point in preparing the Korean people as personifiers of the revolutionary spirit of Paektu and indomitable fighters and making the strong wind of education in the revolutionary traditions prevail across the country.

They stressed the need for all the participants to fully demonstrate, through the study tour, the revolutionary faith of the heroic working class of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il reliably defending the revolutionary traditions of Paektu and steadfastly trusting and following the Workers’ Party of Korea in any storm and stress.

At the end of the meeting the participants went round the monument and began their study tour.
