Listening to the Orphans’ Song
One day in February, 2014, the respected General Secretary
That day, when he dropped in at the playroom of the orphanage, he suggested listening to the song of the orphans.
On the stage, the orphans sang the song "We Are Grateful to Marshal
When they reached the refrain of the song, the orphans, who had always been yearning for the Marshal, became wrapped in tears.
The respected General Secretary said that, listening to the orphans singing brightly, he came to harden his will to take good care of the orphans so that they would always grow up cheerfully.
When the song ended, the orphans threw themselves in the arms of the respected General Secretary calling him "papa!"
The respected General Secretary hugged them all, tears gathering in his eyes, too.
Presently, he looked around the officials and said that what the orphans missed the most was parental affection.
He continued that parental care and affection should be given to the orphans so that they would grow up happily without feeling sad for being parentless.
Then he stressed that he would take care of the work of the baby home and orphanage in person.
All the officials were touched by his great love for the orphans.
Supply of Dairy Products Set as Party Policy
One day in April, 2021, the respected General Secretary met the senior officials of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
He told the officials that dairy products must be supplied to children at nurseries, kindergartens and third-graders at primary schools and down.
He taught that it should be made a policy and that the necessary amount of dairy products be provided.
The officials worked out the required amount of dairy products.
The dairy products could be supplied with ease from June to September when milk is produced on a full scale.
The problem was how to secure the milk products from October to May the following year when milk production decreases.
However, immovable was the determination of the respected General Secretary to supply nutritious dairy products to our children however costly it might be.
In June that year, an emergency consultative meeting concerning the improvement of people’s living standard was convened.
The respected General Secretary said at the meeting that to provide our children with dairy products was more important than any other affairs.
Thanks to the noble love of the great father, the historic 3rd Plenary Meeting of the 8th Party Central Committee discussed as an important agenda the problem of improving and intensifying the Party’s childcare policy.
As a result, it has been set as a Party policy to provide the children across the country with dairy products and other nutritive foodstuff.
