Genuine Patriot Desired by Our Party

The drive to build a powerful socialist country is being vigorously waged in spite of insufficiency and difficulties. The reality of our country demands that we should strengthen the might of independent economy in every way.

One day 10-odd years ago, the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un told officials that we should get rid of the proclivity to import in order to strengthen the might of socialist independent economy and ideological position.

He continued that a man who values his own thing and tries to develop it is a genuine patriot desired by our Party.

His saying reflects the noble idea that we can perform miracles and innovations braving difficulties only when we have the will to value and love our own things and shift for ourselves.

The instructions he gave that day make our people redouble the spirit of self-reliance.

Self-made Equipment

One October day in 2015, the respected General Secretary visited the Pyongyang Catfish Farm remodeled as an example in our country.

At the fermentation feed processing site he carefully looked at the belt conveyer carrying feed. He kindly asked an official of the catfish farm if the belt conveyer was self-made one.

At the moment, the official embarrassedly replied that it was self-made one, but it was not excellent.

The General Secretary said that the equipment made by our working class was better than those made by foreign countries, adding that the equipment was the creation of self-reliance.

The accompanying officials were excited by his saying.

Looking up to his benevolent image, the officials pledged to create our own things depending on our strength and technology true to the noble intention of the respected General Secretary.
