Emotional Voice of a Worker

Not long ago, there took place a meeting of congratulating yearly-plan fulfillers at the Kangso District Organic Compound Fertilizer Factory.

Among the innovators was Pak Song Chol, a worker at the factory. Receiving lei amid warm cheers of people, he was moved to tears.

He recollected officials of the factory who tried to prepare his wedding ceremony in place of his parents who passed away, the work-team leader who has encouraged him when he is in difficulty and sincerely congratulated his successes, and brotherly members of the work-team.

He could become an innovator thanks to the loving care of those people.

Pak Song Chol emotionally said:

"I could not be an innovator without loving care and affections of the comrades who devoted themselves to me. Thanks a lot."

His emotional words reflect his will to repay the loving care and trust of the organization and the collective.

Reason Why They Called on Him

One October day, there were persons knocking at Kim Hak Chol’s house living in Phalgol-dong No.2, Mangyongdae District.

They are none other than officials and employees of the Taedonggang District Food Administration Station including Manager Kim Chang Hyok.

Kim Hak Chol was surprised at their visit to his house late at night because they had traveled on official business to a local area after visiting him who had been hospitalized due to a sudden illness a few days before.

Saying that they had dropped in at the hospital to see Kim on the way back after finishing their official tour but Kim had left for his house, they entered the house with materials for tonics and nutritive foodstuffs.

Looking at them, Kim Hak Chol could hardly repress his emotion.

In fact, it was not the first time they visited his house.

They sometimes visited his house to inquire his living conditions and take measures saying that Kim’s family was the family of an employee who often went on a long-term business trip and was a demobilized officer.

Feeling their sincerity, Kim could not control his mind for the gratitude to socialist system where everyone regards others’ pain as his pain and lives harmoniously.
