A new solar power station with a large capacity has been built in Phyongsong City, South Phyongan Province of the DPRK.

The station, furnished with all conditions necessary for electric power production, including monitoring and operation room, electric power supplying room, transformer room and distributing board room, is operated by a rational and efficient solar energy generating system. It supplies produced electricity to the national grid.

The new solar power station helps lay the foundation for power production with solar energy and raise the public interest in using natural energy.

Meanwhile, officials and working people in the province have spruced up the appearance of the provincial seat by decorating buildings in Phyongsong City with peculiar electric light.
