The South Hwanghae Provincial Air Club was successfully built and inaugurated in the DPRK.

The construction of the air club with all conditions necessary for acquiring and developing aeronautics, including the general training ground, runway and model aeronautical dissemination room, provided working people, school youth and children with a base for further developing the air sports technique of the province and enjoying a cultural and emotional life.

Present at an inauguration ceremony held on January 2 were Pak Thae Dok, chief secretary of the South Hwanghae Provincial Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, officials in the province, players, coaches and employees of the provincial air club and youth and students in Haeju City.

Kim Chol Bom, chairman of the South Hwanghae Provincial People’s Committee, made an inaugural address.
