Officials and workers of Pyongyang Municipality display high enthusiasm in supporting the metal industry sector, true to the decision of the historic 11th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Party Central Committee.

On Jan. 8, the municipality sent lots of scrap iron to the Chollima Steel Complex.

The municipality conducted fresh political work to rouse all the officials and workers to scrap iron collection from the beginning of the year.

Party organizations at all levels conducted substantial agitprop activities to let the officials and workers devote patriotism to scrap iron collection.

In the meantime, they took meticulous measures for the intensive transportation of collected scrap iron.

Officials of Songyo, Taesong, Phyongchon, Ryongsong and other districts went out to factories, enterprises and relevant units and informed the masses in depth of the significance and importance of scrap iron collection.

Officials and workers of factories and enterprises in the municipality actively tapped scrap iron sources and collected lots of scrap iron through enthusiastic emulation.

The relevant department of the municipal people’s committee made close arrangements for sending the collected scrap iron to the steel producers in time.

The intensive transportation of scrap iron to the Chollima Steel Complex on Jan. 8 greatly encouraged its workers who are eager to adorn this meaningful year, marking the 80th birthday of the Party, with proud labor feats.
