Service Complex for Colliers Full of Optimism
From the morning of the lunar New Year’s Day the service complex for colliers of the Kangso Coal Mine was in festive mood. At the entrance servants of the service complex kindly welcomed the guests.
The servants and the guests exchanged greetings.
Labor innovators and their families merrily enjoyed themselves at the service complex.
All day long the service complex overflowed with laughter of happiness of the guests who redoubled their enthusiasm for increasing coal production and making fresh miracles and feats in the drive to implement the decisions of the 11th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
At Haeju Orphanage
On the morning of the lunar New Year’s Day several people visited Haeju Orphanage.
Among the visitors were Pak Yong Il and his wife Kim Pok Sun residing in the people’s neighborhood unit No.57 of Sansong-dong, Haeju City. They visited the orphanage with special foods and toys they prepared for orphans to pleasantly spend the holiday together with them.
They have frequently visited the orphanage to devote their sincerity to the orphans there.
On the holiday they pleasantly held a recreation party screaming with laughter. They seemed like blood relations with orphans.
Songs of the orphans enjoying themselves with the kind visitors reverberated long around the orphanage wonderfully built thanks to the benevolence of the Party.
Disciples Call at Teacher’s House
There was a doorbell ringing in the house of An Pok Sun residing in the neighborhood unit No.32 of Hwawon-dong No.1, Hwasong District.
Kim Yon Ho, a researcher at the Faculty of Resource Science of
An Pok Sun was moved to tears receiving bouquets from disciples.
The disciples’ love and respect for their teacher have remained unchanged, although several decades have passed.
They have called at their teacher’s house on holidays and significant days.
Not long ago, they had visited their teacher on her birthday.
Kim Yon Ho told An Pok Sun that he could become a doctor and associate professor thanks to the teachers’ sincerity and valuable foundation.
Receiving disciples who call An Pok Sun "teacher", although they became parents of children, she proudly felt moral principles and fragrance of excellent virtue prevailing in our society.
Emotion of Patients
Patients were talking to each other with a joy of greeting the Lunar New Year’s Day at a ward of the Pyongyang University of Medicine Hospital.
At that time the door of the ward opened quietly and the section chief Sin Yong Ran and other medical workers entered the ward.
Saying warmly that they wished the patients to recover good health as early as possible, they gave the patients holiday foods they prepared for them.
Seeing such grateful medical workers, the patients were deeply moved.
The holiday congratulations the patients received showed the beautiful looks of our society where everyone forms a large harmonious family and lives in harmony, helping and leading each other forward.
Song Sung by Centenarian
On the morning of the Lunar New Year’s Day, many people visited Won Yon Sil residing in the people’s neighbourhood unit No. 188 of Township of Phyongsan County.
They were neighbors and officials of the town office gathered to enjoy the holiday together with the centenarian, who had celebrated her 100th birthday some days before.
Receiving fragrant flowers and souvenirs, the centenarian shared joy with the visitors.
Ri Kwang Ok, the head of the neighbourhood unit, informed the visitors of the centenarian’s health condition.
The grandma can read without glasses and has a good ear. And she also has a good memory; she remembers her youthful days and recites the lyric "Mother". ..
Hearing the story in delight, the visitors thought of her blessed life.
Then a joyful recreation party was held and the centenarian sang a grateful song there.
After her song, she expressed her gratitude:
"Thank you, Respected Marshal
Amid the loud cheers, the visitors made up their minds to defend and glorify the socialist system which makes all the people lead the most blessed life.
