Most Patriotic Work for Prosperity of Motherland
One February day in 2015, the respected General Secretary
The most patriotic work!
This important instruction reflects his noble idea that afforestation is not a practical matter but the important one for the country which should not be neglected even for a moment and that genuine patriotism lies in it.
Our people, even now, remember the day a few years ago when the respected General Secretary planted two fir trees in Mt Hwasong together with the participants in the Second Conference of Secretaries of Primary Committees of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
The General Secretary most carefully planted the trees, practically showing that tree-planting is the work for implanting our Party’s policy in mind with pure conscience which will never change.
Looking up to the image of the great father that day, our people kept deep in mind again the truth that afforestation is a genuine patriotic work which can be done only by real patriots.
Is patriotism displayed in the battle field only? No, it isn’t. It is also patriotic work to value a tree or a blade of grass of the motherland and garden them with much labour. Such thoughts and feelings can be sublimed to be heroic feats of dedicating oneself to the country and the people.
The General Secretary’s important instruction that forest restoration is the most patriotic work for the prosperity of the rising generations to come gives vigor to all the people who have turned out for the patriotic work of turning our country into a socialist paradise with green forests.
Precious Resources of Country, Wealth That Must Be Handed Down to Posterity
Forest is the precious resources of the country, the important asset for the country’s prosperity and development and the people’s happiness and valuable wealth that must be handed down to posterity.
The respected General Secretary taught that forest is the most important resources of the country, wealth that should be handed down to posterity and important means for protecting the land of the country.
To plant lots of trees in the mountains is an important undertaking to increase the natural resources of the country, face-lift the land of the country and provide the people and posterity with better living conditions and environment.
It is the noble spirit that runs through the history of Korean revolution to fight for the good of the coming generations.
It is thanks to the sublime ideological emotion of holding the future of the country dearer than themselves that the revolutionary forerunners didn’t abandon revolutionary principles even on the scaffold and optimistically dedicated their lives and that our people today devote themselves to socialist construction, overcoming hardship and trials with trust in the Party.
The country’s mountains and streams are the places for the posterity to live in through generations and the foundation for their happiness.
The respected General Secretary earnestly taught that we should never hand down bare and naked mountains to the rising generation.
It is the ennobling view of the Party on posterity that we should ensure that the younger generation will enjoy only delight and happiness even though we undergo troubles in the present generation.
Our Party declared the forest restoration as a war to ameliorate nature and mobilized the entire Party, the whole country and all the people in order to provide the rising generation with a happy life.
When all the people turn out to restore the forest, eternal treasure of the country that must be handed down to posterity, true to the lofty intention of the respected General Secretary, thick green woods will cover all the mountains of the country as soon as possible.
Turning All Mountains into Golden and Treasure Ones
It is the respected General Secretary’s firm resolution and intention to turn all the mountains of the country into golden and treasure ones with green forests.
What we should do is not the mere restoration but to make forests of the country serve as the precious wealth of the people in functions of environmental protection and economic value at a high level.
And this is the ennobling patriotic work in order to hand down a fertile land to posterity and provide them with affluent living conditions.
The respected General Secretary instructed that the forest restoration is a gigantic nature-remaking project for transforming all the mountains of the country into golden and treasure ones.
In order to transform all the mountains of the country into golden and treasure ones as soon as possible true to his noble intention, it is necessary to know well the sci-tech demands arising in afforestation, management of the forest and its use, and to push ahead with its implementation persistently.
When planting even a tree in conformity with the sci-tech demand and economic value as well as usage, we can make all the mountains of the country treasure ones.
The Party’s call for making all the mountains of the country golden and treasure ones by vigorously promoting the afforestation is a patriotic slogan which all the people live on this land should keep deep in mind and uphold with the conscientious devotion for its implementation.
To turn all the mountains into golden and treasure ones!
His instructions implant in our people’s mind the idea that the afforestation is not merely the natural environment protection work, but the patriotic work for transforming the mountains into treasures of the country which can bring benefits to our people.
Everyone, keeping in mind his patriotic call, should devote their patriotic efforts and conscience to the afforestation.
