A meeting of Koreans in Japan took place at the Central Hall of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) in Tokyo on Feb. 14 to celebrate the 82nd birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il.

Present there were Chairman Ho Jong Man, First Vice-Chairman and Director of Organizational Department Pak Ku Ho and vice-chairpersons of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, the chairman of the Chongryon Central Audit Committee, members of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, school inspectors, advisers, the director of the Research Institute on History of Korean Residents in Japan and chairmen of Chongryon headquarters in Kanto area.

The reporter said that they significantly greet the 82nd birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il at a time when the people in the homeland have turned out as one in the general advance for ushering in a new era of overall national prosperity in patriotic unity, true to the far-reaching plan and strategic line of the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un.

He praised Kim Jong Il as a peerless patriot and the boundlessly benevolent leader of the people who ceaselessly visited factories and farms across the country to achieve its prosperity and realize the people’s dream and ideal and thus provided valuable assets for building an economic power and a highly civilized nation.

He said that Kim Jong Un is writing the sacred revolutionary history for overall national prosperity, true to the desire of Kim Jong Il for building a powerful country.

This year Chongryon will single-mindedly uphold the leadership of Kim Jong Un, cherishing his idea and intention as the unshakable faith and acquiring them and conduct the work to double the driving force of the movement of Koreans in Japan with patriotic devotion, keeping in mind the benevolent images of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il, the reporter declared.

A congratulatory letter to Kim Jong Un was read out at the meeting.
