Everything Seems Like a Dream

A year has passed since I and my brothers moved into new dwelling houses at the same time.

The life in the new houses has been like a dream.

On holidays and rest days, all my brothers and family members gather together to boast of their houses.

Listening to their stories in laugh and delight, I am moved to tears.

In fact, it was said that my parents had worried so much with thinking how to set up separate homes for us, when we, three brothers, come back home after doing military service of defending the country.

But the country gave us new wonderful houses free of charge.

We can never forget the love no matter how much water may flow under the bridge.

In the future, we will surely repay the Party’s love with increased grain production.

We Keep Our New Houses Clean

The country gave a wonderful new house to us, a couple, too, living in Musan County, the northern end of the country.

Whenever seeing the news about moving into new houses held in the rural communities across the country on TV, we felt envy of that, but we never thought that we would move into such a flawless house.

Even now, we cannot believe the fact that the dwelling house like a luxurious house in Kyongru-dong, Pyongyang Municipality, is just ours.

On the day of receiving the new house last year, I and my wife promised to keep the house clean.

Now, it became a daily work for us to get up early in the morning and keep the house clean.

Not only my family but also neighbours are absorbed in managing their houses.

In those days, the families exemplary in establishing a socialist cultured way of life have been produced one after another in our village.

It was none other than the picture of beautiful life seen in the new era of rural revolution.

Enlivened Hall of Culture

Last year, wonderful dwelling houses and public buildings were built flawlessly in our village, too, under the care of the Party.

These changes liven up the hall of culture in the village.

On the rest days and holidays, and even on ordinary days, the farmers gather in here to spend their enjoyable times while singing songs and playing musical instruments.

I have used to visit here and some days ago, I participated in the art performance of the work-teams held to mark the significant February 16, the birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il.

In the past, only some persons could play musical instruments in the village, but now the farm has increasing musical talents, so that it is well-known to the county as an exemplary unit in mass-based cultural and art activities.

Such life is unthinkable without the bosom of the motherly Party.

We are firmly determined to surely repay the loving care shown by the Party which puts forward the ordinary agricultural workers as the masters of socialist ideal village and creators and enjoyers of socialist culture.
