A dynamic drive to produce building materials by their own efforts is being waged across the country.

Pyongyang Municipality is directing efforts to the operation of production bases including the Mirim Colored Tilery and increasing the variety of building materials.

Sonchon, Uiju, Kwaksan and other counties and cities in North Phyongan Province have increased production of building materials for face-lifting the appearance of their regions.

Various units and regions in South Hamgyong Province are putting spurs to the production of high-quality plastic building materials and the development of various new building materials.

The Wonsan Disabled Soldiers’ Essential Plastic Goods Factory, the Wonsan City Commercial Agency and other units in Kangwon Province, too, produce various building materials including plastic and glass building materials and light burned magnesia fixtures.

The Chongjin Wood Processing Factory, Kyongsong Tile Factory and other units in North Hamgyong Province are producing fixtures, tiles, heat insulating materials and roofing materials necessary for rural construction.

The Huichon Tile Factory, the Kanggye Building Materials Factory and the Sijung Glass Factory in Jagang Province are producing roofing tiles, tiles, sanitary wares and quality metal fixtures.

Similar successes have been made at various units in North Hwanghae Province.
