Our Family Workteam Members

Not long ago, some persons were repairing a mountain path toward a felling place of the Hwaphyong Forestry Station from early morning. They are family work-team members of the Sokmak Timber Station.

They hurried up their work while sweeping away snow piled up on the path and spreading the soil on the ice-covered sections.

Instead of their husbands who have devoted all to sending more logs to the vibrant socialist construction sites, they used to trim the branches of the trees and put their job sites in order while singing and dancing at recesses to encourage their husbands.

Though they were busy with taking care of housework, they have devoted efforts to positively helping their husbands produce more logs.

Thus, the timber station over-fulfilled its log production plan.

Officials and employees of the station kindly call them "our family workteam members".

For Youth Workteam Members

Some days ago, members of the youth workteam of the Tokji Farm in Kowon County went to the field for doing the afternoon’s work and were surprised.

Because a compost heap disappeared and there were the farm’s officials including Hwang Yong Suk, manageress of the farm.

The youth workteam members were moved by their figures.

They are none other than the grateful officials of the farm who took warm care of the life of a girl farmer and led her to be an innovator; when she was married, they prepared the wedding reception and dwelling house for her with motherly affection.

Thanks to their warm love, the workteam has been respected as a treasure of the farm.

That day, the youth workteam members made a firm determination to bring about a rich harvest this year without fail by dedicating their youthful strength and enthusiasm to the farm work.

Why She Awaited for a Long Time

One January day, there was a woman standing in front of Pyongyang Kim Won Gyun University of Music and Dance.

She was a teacher Ri Un Ju of Sunan Primary School in Sunan County who came to the university because of her pupil Pae Kang Ryong’s admission examination.

There was uncommon reason why Ri was accompanied by Pae.

Being informed about the fact that Pae has lived with his sick mother several years ago, she had visited Pae’s home.

That day, seeing the figures of the neighbors who have looked after Pae’s family, she had made a determination to help them with fraternal affection.

To tell the truth, it was not easy for her, who is always busy with teaching, to take care of Pae’s housework.

But Ri’s sincerity has gotten warm day by day with the support and help of officials and teachers of the school.

When Pae’s mother was hospitalized in October last year, Ri and the officials of the school visited the hospital to inspire her.

As she had devoted her sincerity to Pae for several years, regarding him as her real son, that day she was accompanied by Pae who went to the university to conduct the admission examination.

After the examination, Pae came to the embrace of Ri who waited for him for a long time.

Ri whispered to him in tears that he should be an excellent musician highly singing to the world our beautiful country in the future.
